On May 5, 2019, Abrams Learning Trends and all of their assets, including "The Letter People", were bought by the company "Frog Street Press".(1)
This unfortunately had the effect of causing Abrams Learning Trends to cease operations as an individual company, and The Letter People to become defunct, as new material had stopped being produced for the program.
Fortunately, the franchise lived on through Frog Street re-releasing certain pre-existing material for various packages/programs.
As of 2024, Frog Street has stopped releasing "The Letter People" materials altogether, ending the life of the Letter People franchise.
Letter People Puppets[]

"The Letter People are more than just fabric and thread. These kid-friendly, kid-durable puppets are good friends, language buddies, learning partners…and just plain fun! Based on 30 years of classroom research and testing, these special friends get children talking, moving, interacting, experimenting, drawing, counting and, ultimately, reading and writing.
Children of all ages form an immediate connection with the cute and quirky Letter People Puppets. They want to learn all about their new friends, and when they do, they are also learning letter names, letter sounds, and a wide variety of oral language skills.
The Letter People Hand Puppet Set includes 1 puppet for each letter of the alphabet (26 puppets in all)."(2)
