Miss A is a "Letter Girl", one of the five women characters representing the vowels. Her name is the same sound that starts A'choo.
Bio[]
“Miss A is a girl with the best of sneezes;
She says, "ă'choo" when she pleases.
We all sneeze and say, "choo,"
But she says "ă, ă, ă, ă'choo.”
Miss A is the 7th Letter Person introduced in the original program.
In her original 1968 design, she had yellow skin, red eyelids, green hair with pigtails, red hairbands, arm puff-balls colored with red, green, pink and orange beads, orange-and-pink shoes, and an orange-and-red-striped dress. She also holds a yellow hankie.
In the 1972 TV series, her appearance is based off her 1968 design, despite that she now wears a white-and-red-striped dress, arm puff-balls colored with green, red and white beads, and a wide mouth with teeth like Mister M.
In 1973, Miss A's appearance was redesigned. She now has two pink bows on her pigtails, has larger eyes with lime-green eye pupils, a sky-blue dress, arm puff-balls now colored blue, pink, green and yellow, and blue shoes. However, in the Fables from the Letter People book "The A-Choo Confusion", she has a bob-cut hairstyle.
In the 1977 comics, Miss A's design is based on her 1973 Alpha Time design, with a blue dress and a round bob-cut hairstyle, but also has elements of her 1968 Alpha One design with orange eyeshadow and lipstick.
Television Series[]
Miss A first appears in the episode Meet Miss A, where she is seen singing her song. Dr. Alice Antler comes up to her, hearing her sing and sneeze, and she attempts to cure her sneeze. After that, Miss A goes to the carnival and plays Wheel Of Fortune, where she has to see if her sound is in the beginning or middle of a word. She wins a goldfish, which she names Alfalfa. In What's The Catch and The Tryout, she is one of the Letter People who goes to the TV station to pitch the idea of The Catching Game. In The Catching Game, she designs a set and shows Monty Swell and Mister H.. In Meet Miss O, she is in Miss O's opera. In The Story of Mister C and Mister K, she helps solve the fight between Mister C and Mister K.
